New Sync’r Carbon Gets the Holeshot

KENT, Wash. (February 4, 2019) — With so many capable full-suspension bikes out there, hardtails have lately been banished to the yawn-inducing cross-country corner of many riders’ minds. Berm-slapping dirt jumpers rejoice: The Sync’r Carbon from Diamondback is here. This is a hardtail built to handle aggressive riding, big moves, and all-day missions. Boasting a 66° head angle and a 74° seat angle, the Sync’r Carbon is long and stable yet nimble and playful. 

The full carbon monocoque frame comes spec’d with a tubeless-ready 27.5+ wheelset. Riders can choose to run 29-inch wheels as well, to suit their preference and terrain. A well-rounded component package includes a 140mm Fox 34 Performance Float fork, a SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain, Shimano MT501 hydraulic brakes, an X-Fusion Manic dropper post, and 27.5 x 2.8-inch Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR tires. The Sync’r Carbon will be available in early March for $2999.99.

“We were leaders in designing slacker, more playful hardtails. Our alloy Hook, Line, and Sync’r models have done well because they appeal to everyday riders who want an accessible trail bike,” said Stuart Johnson, chief marketing and digital officer at Diamondback. “We saw a need in our line for a more aggressive hardtail. Riders were asking for a bike that’s responsive yet extremely capable on descents. When we showed a prototype of the Sync’r Carbon at Sea Otter, it got a lot of attention. The final design exceeds our expectations, and we can’t wait to see what riders do with it.”

Like all Diamondback bikes, the Sync’r Carbon is available direct-to-consumer and ships mostly assembled. Using the included tools and a comprehensive online support system with chat and helpful how-to videos, anyone can build their new bike. Customers can also choose to have their bike assembled at their local bike shop or built and delivered by Beeline Bikes mobile delivery service (where available) for no extra charge on bikes $500 and up.
