Beeline Builds on Mobile Success to Support Brick and Mortar Bike Shops
SAN FRANCISCO (Sept. 14, 2018) — Over the past five years, Beeline Bikes has grown into the country’s largest full-service mobile bike shop. To support its mobile franchisees, Beeline has developed and optimized the most advanced service scheduling and online fulfillment software in the cycling industry. Today, Beeline and its parent company, Accell North America, announced that the Powered by Beeline platform will become available to any independent bicycle dealer (IBD) to support revenue growth, drive innovation, and improve customer acquisition and retention. Powered by Beeline software will be available in three affordable pricing tiers to accommodate the varied needs of in-shop and mobile customers.
“Improving the customer experience has always been the primary motivation at Beeline,” said Peter Buhl, co-founder and CEO of Beeline Bikes. “We built the software platform to be the best in the business and now with the help of our partners at Accell, we’re excited to offer it to IBDs everywhere. Think of it as OpenTable for bike shops.”
The Powered by Beeline platform offers online bike service scheduling and can be integrated into any shop website. The platform is mobile device-responsive and features intuitive, easy-to-use tools for customers to schedule service in real-time. Powered by Beeline provides IBD-branded and customizable automated email appointment reminders, as well as service follow-ups to create a customer feedback loop and encourage regular service intervals. The software also includes a management dashboard with key metrics, reporting and schedule optimization tools. Powered by Beeline supports single location IBDs and scales for IBDs with multiple locations or multiple mobile vehicles.
Another key component of Powered by Beeline is the e-commerce fulfillment network, which drives new consumers and revenue to IBDs. The fulfillment network includes all of the Accell North America brands: Diamondback, Haibike, iZip, Raleigh and Redline. Customers who purchase a bike or trainer from a fulfillment network partner can pick it up at a partnering IBD or have it delivered via the IBD’s mobile vehicle.
In addition to Accell brands, Powered by Beeline will offer fulfillment for a growing list of other cycling brands. Saris Brands and Pure Cycles have already signed on and additional fulfillment partnerships will be announced soon.
“We are extremely excited to implement the Powered by Beeline model,” said Heather Fortune, Director of Marketing at Saris. “From day one, Saris has been focused on the IBD and Powered by Beeline fully aligns with that vision, while providing customers the choice they expect. We will launch in-home setup with the Cyclops family of products and have plans to extend this to Saris racks.”
Michael Fishman, Pure Cycle’s Co-Founder and President added, “We have always been committed to a great customer experience. Partnering with Beeline enables us to improve our ability to satisfy customers.”
“Powered by Beeline is the next step in Accell North America’s omni-channel approach,” said Larry Pizzi, President and Head of Sales at Accell North America. “Earlier this year, we rolled out an opt-in fulfillment program for any IBD, compensating shops for bike builds and deliveries. This takes the program a step further and gives IBDs a competitive advantage with cutting-edge software that powers the IBD service departments and expands the shop brand’s reach.”
Powered by Beeline will launch in January 2019 and Beeline will offer pre-launch promotions starting at Interbike. Dealers, brands or ecommerce retailers interested in learning more about Powered by Beeline should visit www.beelinebikes.com/poweredby or email poweredby@beelinebikes.com.
