BROOKLYN, N.Y. – July 3, 2019 – Tough Mudder, the global fitness and active lifestyle brand, is returning to Twin Cities with its 2019 Tough Mudder Twin Cities on July 13-14. Along with a new 5K distance which is ideal for those who want to try out the wildly fun, collaborative experience that Tough Mudder offers without the necessity to train, Twin Cities will additionally offer America’s Toughest Mudder Central – a 12-hour, overnight course that tests participants’ stamina and grit.

Tough Mudder Twin Cities will take place at Wild Wings Oneka in Hugo, Minnesota, roughly 40 minutes from Minneapolis and St. Paul. The expansive course winds through rolling hills, wooded trails, deep valleys and rushing water features which will wash away all of the mud.  

America’s Toughest Mudder event will run overnight, beginning on Saturday at 8 p.m., challenging participants to power through as many five-mile laps as they can in a 12-hour period. Guaranteed to push racers past anything they’ve ever experienced before, Toughest Mudder is introducing new two-person and four-person team relay formats, so contestants can now share the glory and show how teamwork can truly make the dream work. Those who hit the dedicated miles for each category (male, female and team relay) can qualify for Contender status at World’s Toughest Mudder in Atlanta, Georgia in November.  

America’s Toughest Mudder joins Tough Mudder Classic, an 8-10-mile loop of mud-soaked mayhem with 25 best-in-class obstacles, Tough Mudder 5K, a new staple of 2019 events which crams 13 unique obstacles into a shorter distance and Mini Mudder, a mile-long obstacle course specifically designed for adventure-seeking children. Coupled with a revamped Mudder Village Festival featuring local food, cold beer, live entertainment, lawn games, giveaways and more, the events provide a day of fun for the whole family.
