Klean Kanteen Bolsters Team with Three New Hires
CHICO, Calif. (Jan. 30 , 2017) – Klean Kanteen, the leader in reusable stainless steel food and beverage solutions, adds depth to its growing team with the addition of Zach Starr, Jeremy Cashman and Ian McWilliams to the company headquarters in Chico, California. Starr joins as the Grocery Channel Manager, Cashman as Marketing Manager and McWilliams comes on board as the new Communications Manager.
“We’re kicking off 2017 with our strongest team yet,” said Jim Osgood, Klean Kanteen CEO and president. “In the newly created role of Communications Manager, Ian will direct our storytelling and PR efforts. Zach and Jeremy are also filling critical roles in marketing and sales and their experience and commitment to our mission will prove to be impactful going forward.”
Starr joins the company as Grocery Channel Manager and will oversee Klean’s relationships with grocery retailers and brokers. Prior to his current role, Starr managed the retail sales division at Kinder’s BBQ for over six years, a family owned business that has grown to be a national award winning BBQ brand. He is passionate about cooking and BBQ, and when he’s not in the kitchen he enjoys all things outdoors, whether riding his mountain bike, snowboarding or playing golf.
A longtime Chico resident, Jeremy Cashman brings nearly fifteen years of marketing experience to his new position as Marketing Manager for Klean. Most recently, he worked at Wanderful media where he developed and managed programs for a retail-focused mobile media company. He also spent over eight years at J.M. Smucker Company, where he managed a variety of brands and products for the R.W. Knudsen Family, Santa Cruz Organic, Natural Brew, and Smuckers brands, as well as customized initiatives for national accounts, mainstream and natural and specialty distribution customers. Outside of work, Cashman enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family in Chico.
Ian McWilliams joins Klean Kanteen to help oversee the brand’s storytelling efforts. A creative professional with a wealth of experience creating and managing content for brands including Sea to Summit, Ruffwear and Teko Socks, McWilliams has made a career out of taking his personal experiences and passions and turning them into engaging public platforms. Outside of work he enjoys surfing, cycling, trail running and working on a variety of multimedia art projects.
