New Diamondback Carbon Haanjo is Built for Adventure
KENT, Washington (July 12, 2016) — Diamondback Bicycles is pleased to introduce the Haanjo Carbon series, bikes designed for exploration, whether it’s a new route on the commute home, or an epic backcountry dirt road. Available in three different build kits, the Haanjo Carbon can run either standard 700c road wheels or 27.5-inch mountain bike wheels, giving it the flexibility to tackle a wide range of adventures.
“Interest in bikepacking and gravel road exploring is at an all-time high right now,” says Michael Brown, Diamondback’s vice president of product development. “We wanted to create a bike that could competently go on an off-road adventure, but could also be a daily commuter. The Haanjo Carbon is our most versatile bike design ever.”
Each lightweight Haanjo Carbon frame is hand built and features Diamondback’s Gravel Endurance Geometry for the right mix of stiffness and comfort. Front and rear thru axles improve power transfer, stiffness and tracking. Disc brakes, aggressive tires on wide HED wheels, internal cable routing, and mounts for fenders and racks make these rigs perfect for exploring the road less traveled.
The Haanjo Trail Carbon and Haanjo Comp Carbon features Schwalbe G-One 700x40mm tires on HED Tomcat wheels, and can accept up to 45mm tires. The Trail is built with a Shimano Ultegra 2x11 drivetrain, Shimano flat mount hydraulic disc brakes, Shimano ST brake levers and retails for $3,100. The Comp features Shimano 105 group, TRP Spyre mechanical disc brakes and retails for $2,500.
The Haanjo EXP Carbon model is a unique take on an adventure touring bike, sporting 2.1-inch tires on 27.5-inch rims with a Shimano 3x9 drivetrain. Bar end shifters, and mechanical disc brakes offer easy on-trail maintenance. The bike retails for $2,300.
