Grundéns Expands Women's Foul Weather Gear Line
POULSBO, Wash. (Feb. 01, 2017) – Grundéns, producer of the world’s leading foul weather gear, today announces new additions to its women’s line. The latest additions include the Sedna series of jacket and bibs, Petrus Jacket and Bibs, Women’s Weather Watch Hooded Jacket and Bib, and Maris insulated base layers.
Grundéns originally launched the women’s line in late 2015 with the Sedna Jacket and Bib in response to feedback from women in the commercial fishing industry that were tired of wearing gear designed for men. In 2017, Grundéns continues to grow the women’s line with products built specifically for women working in the commercial fishing and industrial marine industries.
Sedna Hooded Jacket and Bib
Originally released in 2015 as the flagship pieces of the women’s line, Sedna is the first commercial grade rain gear designed specifically for women. Built to the same performance standards as all Grundéns Professional gear and made from durable, 100% waterproof PVC-coated polyester/cotton blend material, the Sedna Jacket features an attached adjustable visor hood with easy-to-use pull cord locks, reinforced neoprene cuffs to prevent water intrusion while rigging or hauling gear, and reflective striping on the shoulders for increased visibility and safety on the water. The Sedna Bibs provide complete protection against rain, spray, scales, slime and more, while allowing for natural, comfortable movement on deck. Tailored for an active fit, they feature heavy-duty suspenders with quick release clips, sturdy eyelets for attachment of fishing tools and reflective striping on the leg cuffs for increased visibility and safety. The jacket retails for $169 and the bibs for $149.
Women’s Weather Watch Hooded Jacket and Bib
The Women’s Weather Watch jacket and bibs are tough enough for the Bering Sea, yet are comfortable and practical for everyday fishing use. Tailored specifically for women from durable nylon fabric with a waterproof breathable barrier and durable water resistant (DWR) finish, the hooded jacket stands up to heavy rain and spray. The 420D nylon oxford weave fabric is 8k/3k waterproof breathable and features fully taped seams, double storm flaps, a drop-tail adjustable hem, a full-sized adjustable hood and adjustable cuffs. The jacket retails for $TK and the bibs for $TK.
Petrus Jacket and Bib
The women’s Petrus 118 and 88 is tropical weight foul weather gear designed to keep the elements at bay in warmer climates. Tailored from 170 g/m2 polyurethane coated polyester material that is flexible and the functional design includes front-to-back reversibility for extended wear and replaceable suspenders. The jacket retails for $116.99 and the bibs for $119.99
Maris Hoodie and Legging
The women’s Maris is an insulating layer designed to be worn under bibs and rain gear. Constructed from breathable 200g/m2 poly fleece using flatlock comfort stitch and four-way stretch fabric that provides comfort and warmth all day long. Additional features include a high neck drop hood, moisture wicking interior, thumb loop cuffs and zippered front pocket pouch. The hoodie retails for $55 and the leggings for $45.
All Grundéns women’s products are available at local fishing retailers as well as online at Grundens.com
