La Sportiva Deepens Commitment to Sustainability with Fall 2019 Apparel and Ski Collections
January 23, 2019 (BOULDER, Colo.) – La Sportiva has long been committed to reducing its impact on the planet and encouraging its customers to do the same. In the fall 2019 lines of apparel and ski hard goods, significant steps have been taken to increase the use of recycled and natural materials. Following the announcement that the brand is joining 1% for the Planet for its apparel program, these new lines of product demonstrate that commitment in a tangible way.
“We have an obligation to the next generation to leave the planet better than we found it,” says Jonathan Lantz, president of La Sportiva North America. “Although the footwear, apparel and ski hardware businesses are not always the cleanest, with our contribution to 1% for the Planet partners, and our steadily increasing use of recycled and natural raw materials in our apparel program, we are helping to push forward important changes. Our fall 2019 collections demonstrate that exceptional product can be made in a more sustainable way. We expect that our customers will appreciate the steps we’ve taken to date and push us to be even better in future years.”
