Paige Claassen Signs Head-To-Toe Athlete Agreement with La Sportiva
La Sportiva, makers of the world’s finest mountain products for over 80 years, announces today that Paige Claassen will exclusively wear La Sportiva apparel and climbing shoes, effective immediately. Paige has been climbing since she was 9 years old and has been a La Sportiva Ambassador for the last 8 years. La Sportiva has watched her grow from an indoor competition climber into one of the best climbers of her generation with ascents around the world. She has signed a head-to-toe sponsorship package and will serve as the face of the brand's climbing apparel program in 2016 and beyond.
“Paige is an incredible climber with competition wins in the gym and amazing sends on classic test pieces around the world,” says Jonathan Lantz, president of La Sportiva North America. “She has consistently impressed us with both her climbing performance but also her humanitarian work and as a upstanding member of the climbing community. Paige has been climbing for 16 years and some of her impressive accomplishments include Just Do It, 5.14c, Smith Rock, Oregon, June 2013; Grand Ole Opry, 5.14b, The Monastery, Colorado, September 2010; The Bleeding, 5.14a, A five year project, ticked off September 2015 in Mill Creek, Utah, Art Attack, 5.14b slab, Val Masino, Italy, September 2013. Also for ten months between 2013 and 2014, she traveled around the world on the Lead Now Tour, climbing seven 5.14s and creating a video series to raise $20,000 for non-profit organizations.
