Upslope’s Belgian Style Pale Ale and Tap Room Series Coffee Brown Ale Hit Shelves
BOULDER, Colo. (Feb. 6, 2018) — Upslope Brewing Company, the Boulder-based brewer, today announced the seasonal release of its Limited Belgian Style Pale Ale, as well as the opener for its 2018 Tap Room Series, a Coffee Brown Ale. The two beers will be available for a limited time starting this month.
An annual fan favorite and staple of Upslope’s Limited Release roster, the Belgian Style Pale Ale earned the brewery’s first-ever Great American Beer Festival medal during the 2009 Pro-Am Competition (under the name “Time of the Season”) and continues to be a highly-awaited seasonal.
Wonderfully deceptive, the Belgian Style Pale Ale is light-bodied but still offers full-flavor with a strong 7.5% ABV backbone, serving as the perfect après everything beer to lead into spring. Its Trappist Ale yeast provides fruity esters that balance with coriander on the finish. The Limited Release Belgian Style Pale Ale will be available in 12-ounce 6-packs starting Feb. 12 through April 2018 or while supplies last.
“Although this beer is only available for a small part of the year, it’s always a highly anticipated fan favorite,” said Sam Scruby, Head Brewer at Upslope. “Coming out on the heels of our Oatmeal Stout, the lighter profile and refreshing nature of our Belgian Style Pale Ale are welcomed as we look forward to ushering in spring – not to mention the higher ABV that will keep you warm until then.”
Also hitting shelves this month is the first installment of Upslope’s 2018 Tap Room Series—a Coffee Brown Ale. To kick off another year of creative collaborations, Upslope infused its award-winning Brown Ale with Mocha Java Coffee, which includes a blend of both Indonesian and African coffees from Ozo Coffee Company, a local Boulder, Colorado, roaster. Cold extracted for maximum smoothness, the freshly roasted coffee maximizes the roast character of Upslope’s award-winning Brown Ale.
The Tap Room Series Coffee Brown Ale will be available at both of Upslope’s Boulder tap rooms on draft and in 19.2-ounce cans to-go while supplies last. Additionally, to celebrate the beer’s release on Feb. 6, customers can purchase two or more cans of the Coffee Brown Ale and leave with a complimentary 4-ounce bag of Ozo’s Mocha Java (while supplies last at Upslope’s Flatiron Park tap room).
