Introducing Limited Release Spruce Tip IPA, and Wild Christmas Ale with Balaton Cherries
BOULDER, Colo. (November 7, 2018) — Upslope Brewing Company, the Boulder-based brewer, today announced an all-new Limited Release winter seasonal—Spruce Tip IPA— a perfect brew pairing for the snow-filled winter months, as well as the latest iteration of its specialty Lee Hill Series.
Brewed with premium American malt, Cascade and Simcoe hops, and hand-picked Colorado spruce tips, Upslope’s new winter Spruce Tip IPA is highlighted by notes of candied orange peel and fresh pine needles supported by a sturdy malt backbone. When the air turns crisp and the snowflakes begin to fall, bust out the ski wax and crack open an Upslope Spruce Tip IPA.
“Previewed during our 2018 Colorado Backcountry Tap Room, Spruce Tip IPA has quickly become a fan favorite in the limited release lineup,” said Upslope’s founder, Matt Cutter. “We’re excited to share this fresh new style with family, friends, and beer connoisseurs throughout the holidays and in the great outdoors during the winter months.”
Available now, while supplies last, Spruce Tip IPA will be offered in 12-ounce cans at Upslope’s two Boulder tap rooms and across Upslope’s distribution region of the Rocky Mountains, Midwest, and southern United States.

Serving as the 2018 installment of the brewery’s Wild Christmas series, this beer has been aged in oak barrels for 12 months with a house sour culture, and then re-fermented for eight weeks on 1,000 pounds of Balaton Cherries. Boasting an ABV of 9.1%, this flavor-filled style features aromas of pie cherries, leather, clover honey, and almond, followed by mulling spices, and a touch of orange peel.
