Redline Rides Retro Radness with New Bikes

KENT, Wash. (Oct. 2, 2018) — Building on its 40-year bike racing heritage, storied BMX bike brand Redline is introducing three new retro-inspired bikes for both kids and kids at heart. Just in time for the holidays, the new Monocog, the RL 275, and the Push Boss balance bike for kids are available online and at specialty retailers nationwide.

“We’ve taken design and aesthetic cues from some of our classic frames and combined them with modern bike technology,” says Redline brand manager, Steven Behen. “Redline has maintained a loyal following for years and these new bikes will help propel our growth and expand brand awareness to a new generation. Don’t call it a comeback, but it’s okay if you do.”

The new bikes feature design aspects like slack forks, plus-sized tires, 27.5 wheels and disc brakes, while adding style accents like retro handle bars and Pivitol saddles.

The Monocog is a single-speed 29er mountain bike with contemporary geometry and retro styling.  A durable, chromoly steel frame and double walled wheels can handle a variety of terrain from the street to the trail. Tektro mechanical disc brakes deliver reliable stopping power and the single-speed drivetrain guarantees simplicity and easy maintenance. MSRP $699.99.

The RL 275 is a 27.5-inch BMX bike that brings out the kid in anyone who rides it, young and old. With an alloy frame, a chromoly fork, mechanical disc brakes, and three-inch tires, the RL 275 is light enough to race the occasional Cruiser Class, but is really designed to just have fun anywhere you ride it. MSRP $599.99.

The Push Boss is a premium balance bike for kids with parents that know cool when they see it. By eliminating the drive train, new riders can confidently learn coordination and balance faster than using training wheels. MSRP $124.99.
