MISSOULA, Mont. (October 19, 2017) – onXmaps, Inc., the industry leader in outdoor mapping technology, today announced the addition of a new sharing feature to its flagship product, onX Hunt App. This update will allow users to hunt more safely by creating the ability to share coordinates with friends and family, as well as the ability to connect more easily with hunting partners.
"Our new and latest enhancement allows hunters to travel even more confidently in the backcountry," said Eric Siegfried, CEO at onXmaps, Inc. "Users can share the coordinates for camp, meet up points, blinds, food plots, tree stands, and more. The options are limitless and will allow hunters to share their experiences more easily."
The latest version works with Android and iOS software. Hunters can share waypoints via text, email, or any other messaging apps that are enabled on the users smartphones to onX and non-onX users. That sharing feature can help protect hunters, for example, by allowing family or friends to know the location of camp or a planned route in case of emergency. The feature also enables users to share information, such as big game or waterfowl sightings, with hunting partners.
