SIMI VALLEY, CA. (April 19, 2018) – Haibike, the world’s leading electric mountain bike brand, announces today that its InTube technology will be available later this year in the United States. The InTube platform, first announced for 2018 European distribution, features the Bosch PowerTube battery and CX Drive Unit which seamlessly integrates the bike’s motor, battery and frame.

The Bosch PowerTube lithium-ion battery fits into the downtube and offers a 500Wh capacity. The integrated motor concept eliminates the need for mounting plates, reducing the size of the casing needed for the Bosch Performance CX motor. The Modular Rail System (MRS) allows users to attach a range extender battery to add another 500Wh. The MRS also features an innovative attachment system for a water bottle, rail lock, or carry pack.
The InTube technology will be included in four models in 2018, including the NDuro 10.0, AllMtn 9.0, FullSeven 9.0 and the Trekking 9.0. These models will be available in late June, 2018 at the Haibike website or a partnering retailer.
