Midland Radio Receives Global Media Award at SEMA 2017 for New Portable Power Station
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 11, 2017) – Leading two-way communications manufacturer, Midland Radio, was recognized with the Global Media Award at the SEMA trade show for its new PPG100 Portable Power Station. The SEMA Global Media Awards Program recognizes companies that manufacture specialty products and accessories with mass appeal to consumers in countries outside the United States. The products are voted on by a prestigious group of international journalists who serve as judges.
Midland’s all-new PPG100 is an important addition to its growing line of reliable communication and power management products. The power station utilizes an advanced lithium ion rechargeable battery with a capacity of 950Wh integrated into a compact and weather-resistant case. The PPG100 weighs only 25 pounds, and is dramatically lighter and more portable than lead batteries of comparable capacity.

This year’s program included 30 judges from 19 countries. Each judge carefully reviewed and evaluated nearly 3,000 product entries at the SEMA Show before selecting the products that they felt would resonate and appeal most to consumers in their home countries.
