Matador Packable Adventure Gear Introduces FlatPak Series of Travel Accessories

BOULDER, Colo. (June 18, 2018) – Matador Packable Adventure Gear, the award-winning producer of portable travel gear, today introduced its FlatPak series, a new collection of travel accessories designed for ultralight adventure. The new series, featuring the FlatPak Toiletry Bottle and the FlatPak Soap Bar Case, is significantly lighter and more compact than traditional toiletry accessories and is TSA approved for easy travel.

The FlatPak series was designed to make traveling with toiletries lighter and easier. Leak-proof CORDURA flex-fabric construction allows the containers to compress down to the size of the contents themselves. It is the first time CORDURA fabric has been used in such an application, resulting in containers that are five to six times lighter than their traditional counterparts.

“Traditional toiletry bottles and soap cases are clunky and take up a surprising amount of space in luggage. In addition to that, we’ve all experienced the mess a wet soap bar can make and the residue it leaves in a plastic container,” said Chris Clearman, Founder and CEO of Matador. “With our new FlatPak products, we’ve not only found solutions to those problems, but we feel as though we’ve also created new, category-leading products we’re excited for our customers to travel with and to put to the test.”

FlatPak Toiletry Bottles are five times lighter and three and a half times more compact* than traditional silicone bottles and are designed to accommodate anything from liquid soap to shampoo to toothpaste. FlatPak Toiletry Bottles feature a low-profile flip-cap and large opening for easy filling.

FlatPak Soap Bar Cases are six times more compact** and three times lighter than other soap bar cases. The leak-proof welded construction with Dry-Through technology contains the wet mess of a soap bar, while allowing the bar to dry directly through the fabric. An integrated buckle closure works to attach the case to a backpack or other accessories for easy travel or to hang in the shower.

The Toiletry Bottles (available as a single and retailing for $12.99, and also available as a three-pack, retailing $34.99) and Soap Bar Cases (available as a single and retailing for $12.99) are available now at select retailers and online at www.matadorup.com.

*Three and a half times more compact when compared to silicone travel bottles when both contain liquid based on approximately 3-day trip (25 ml.).

**Six times more compact when compared to other soap bar cases when both contain a 1 oz. soap bar.
