La Sportiva’s Climbing Training Capsule Leads Spring 2018 Apparel Lineup

La Sportiva’s Climbing Training Capsule Leads Spring 2018 Apparel Lineup

With gym climbing continuing to experience exceptional growth, La Sportiva debuts its climbing training capsule, a collection of apparel specifically designed for climbers to use while training. Whether developing finger strength for the next boulder problem or building endurance for the next redpoint, the La Sportiva climbing training capsule has a piece that every climber will enjoy.

“Climbers are taking their training more seriously than ever,” said Jonathan Lantz, president of La Sportiva North America. “With the consistent growth of climbers that excel in the gym and use that to propel their success outside, there is a clear need for specific training clothing. Since our climbing apparel has proven successful in the last several seasons, climbers are turning to us for all of their apparel needs, and we’re excited to provide yet another exciting season of new styles.”

On the men’s side, the Training Day Hoody leads the way. A comfortable and stylish hooded sweatshirt with Polygiene anti-bacterial treatment and Bluesign approved fabric, it provides insulation for cold muscles and freedom of movement while training. It will retail for $85. The Pinnacle shirt is a quick-drying button-down shirt that is as comfortable at the gym as it is at the bar and will retail for $59. La Sportiva’s climbing shorts and pants have been very popular with consumers and the Levanto short is one of the newest offerings. Constructed from soft organic cotton with an 11” inseam, the shorts will perform well with or without a harness and retail for $59.

For women, the Focus Top offers low impact support, elastic shoulder straps, and seamless design all for $29. The organic cotton Escape Short looks great and performs well under a harness or on its own with a 5” inseam. The retail price will be $59. The Mantra Pant is the ultimate women’s climbing pant that is missing from the market. Articulated knees and a diamond gusted crotch provide freedom of movement while elastic cuffs keep excess material out of the way. The Mantra Pant will retail for $99. The Dakota tank uses DriRelease cotton that dries four times faster than traditional cotton in a comfortable racerback tank that will retail for $39.

The full line of Spring 2018 La Sportiva products, including footwear and apparel for climbing, hiking, mountaineering and mountain running, will be on display July 26-28, 2017, throughout the 2016 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, at the La Sportiva booth #10027.
